Using the reticulated gas contract

This page provides step by step instructions on how to join the All-of-Government (AoG) reticulated gas contract.

  • 1
    Provide gas information

Agencies and schools interested in participating in this contract need to provide information on their gas consumption to help us profile your needs.

    Information includes:

    • the number and size of sites that require gas supply and the Installation Control Point (ICP) numbers for each site
    • copies of recent invoices - preferably the last 12 months
    • confirmation of current supplier(s) and expiry dates of existing contract(s).
  • 2
    Review the benefits statement

Based on this information we will create a usage profile for your agency or school. We then request pricing from Genesis Energy using a pricing supplement. Once the pricing supplement is returned to us we analyse the savings to be achieved and the expected cost, and provide you with a benefits statement.

  • 3
    Return the paper work

To participate in the contract, an online Form of Accession needs to be signed by someone with the delegated authority within your agency or school. By completing the Form of Accession, your agency/school is agreeing to the terms and conditions of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the AoG reticulated gas contract.

To start the transfer of your account to Genesis under the contract, you will also need to sign and return a pricing supplement. This is the agreement between agency/school and supplier and details the location(s) where the gas will be supplied, pricing and other charges (such as distribution costs) which are specific to each location.

  • 4
    Commencement of contract

Once we have received your signed paperwork, we will notify Genesis with the date you wish to transfer your account.

Genesis Energy will switch your agency/school to the AoG reticulated gas supply contract and advise the agency’s/school's old supplier of the transfer. Pricing supplements received by the 20th of each month, will commence on the first day of the following month.

The joining process usually takes a month to complete.

    End of process
