Procurement Workforce Survey 2026 now live

The Procurement Workforce Survey 2026 is now open. We would like everyone working in public sector procurement to take part.

This survey helps build a clear picture of the people working in procurement across New Zealand. Until recently, there has been limited data on workforce size, skills, and gaps. Your input will help change that.

The 2025 survey showed we need to hear more from frontline practitioners. This year, we are aiming to get a broader and more representative view of the workforce.

Workforce survey summary

The results will support better planning, investment, and capability development across the system. In short, it helps make sure decisions are based on experience, not assumptions.

The survey is open until Friday 7 August 2026. Everyone working in procurement across the public service is welcome to respond. Share the link with your colleagues.
