Construction procurement guidelines
NZGP has released the construction procurement guidelines, 2nd edition.
The purpose of the guidelines is to provide government agencies with guidance on the government’s standards of good practice for the development of their construction procurement strategy.
The objectives of the guidelines are to:
- improve the quality and consistency of government construction procurement practices
- provide guidance on how to incorporate the skills training and development priority outcome, and other broader outcomes where possible, into procurement processes, and
- support the objectives of the Construction Sector Accord.
Also released are the good practice procurement guide for improving health and safety. The guide encourages agencies to apply health and safety considerations from the beginning of the procurement process, through the entire procurement lifecycle.
