Topics

Next generation collaborative contracting

We’d like your input into the proposed framework for next generation collaborative contracting. What do you like in the framework and what’s missing?

This framework looks at agency capacity and capability to guide the best approach for a contract.

The approaches for running a contract are:

  • a lead agency would resource and lead the contract.
  • NZGP supports a lead agency with guidance and resource across the procurement lifecycle.
  • NZGP leads the contract.

Procurement catalogue system

In this session, we’ll look at the new online procurement platform. We're keen to hear your ideas about how we can create efficient processes and workflows for suppliers and agencies.

We’ll look at different parts of the design for the new platform based on input from previous CoLabs. It’s a continuation of those discussions. We’d like to talk about automated workflows, new ways of working and feedback on processes that involve you.

Sector leadership

The sector leadership project looks at how we support agencies to work together in areas of common spend. We know some of the needs and pain points agencies and suppliers face. Your input will help us understand what other needs and pains there are.

This will help us refine and test the proposed functions of sector leadership. We’d like to know if we are on the right track? What gaps can you see in the functions?

In the March CoLab, we explored the high-level role description of a sector lead. This CoLab continues the discussion. We'll look at needs and how our proposed functions address them. Sector leads will work with agencies in certain sectors. They'll coordinate some procurement activity, provide a sector voice and connect stakeholders to shared interests.

The benefits include:

  • better operational delivery,
  • innovation within sectors,
  • risk management,
  • better market capability and resilience.
