Procure Connect live
The All-of-Government External Legal Services contract is now live on Procure Connect. Procure Connect will eventually become the Government’s Commercial Centre, a quick and efficient connection between markets and government.
Over 50 suppliers offering external legal services, in nine areas of law, are now registering and populating their panel profiles on Procure Connect. We’re progressively onboarding ELS-participating agencies to the platform.
“Improving data and transparency is a top priority for us and Procure Connect is a huge milestone in this respect,” says Michael Alp, General Manager of New Zealand Government Procurement.
“Today is day 1 which we’ve been working towards over the last two years. We are absolutely thrilled. We’re now poised for feedback on how it is going from these first users,” says Michael.
Procure Connect enables agencies to complete the full source-to-contract process through a secure and flexible system. It replaces traditional email-based workflows.
The key benefits of using Procure Connect include:
- setting the stage for a ‘one stop shop’ for suppliers to do business with government
- standard best practice procurement process with end-to-end workflow
- built-in flexibility to support diverse procurement needs
- suppliers have greater opportunity to showcase their business, and buyers can easily filter suppliers and view their panel profiles
- single sign-on access for agency users and agencies
- capture of valuable data insights.
“Procure Connect is what we are hoping users will do – make a quick and efficient connection between markets and government.” says Michael.
