Highlights of the 2024 Procurement Capability Index survey
The report on the 2024 Procurement Capability Index (PCI) results is now available.
The report presents overall results from the 97 agencies that participated in the survey.
Some of the key findings include:
- over 80% of agencies use data and insights to inform planning and decisions
- over 90% of agencies consider government and business priorities and dependencies in their procurement planning
- 85% of agencies deliver on broader outcomes within their procurements
- 73% of agencies seek a range of sourcing solutions to manage high value or critical spends
- 93% of agencies review supplier performance
- 80% of agencies monitor contract and supplier performance. Most agencies ensure that the procurement is within budget, achieves the desired outcomes, on time delivery and that it is fit for purpose.
In 2024 we launched the revised PCI questionnaire. The PCI is a self-assessment tool that enables agencies to measure their procurement capability. The report highlights how agencies have measured their procurement capability across a range of areas and identifies areas of strength and potential improvement across the sector.
Thanks to those 97 agencies that took the time to complete the 2024 PCI survey.
Planning is also underway for the 2025 PCI survey, which we aim to launch in early August 2025.
