Agency reporting for October 2026
Reporting helps to inform policy, measure agency performance and supports transparency of the use of public money.
The next reporting deadline is 1 October 2026.
We’re collecting reporting on:
- Rule 22: Panel of suppliers reporting
- Supplier diversity reporting
- Procurement Capability Index (PCI)
All government procurement mandated agencies must complete this reporting.
Rule 22: Panel of suppliers reporting
Rule 22 requires agencies to be transparent about their secondary procurement spend. Agencies have 2 ways to complete this reporting, either by:
- posting a contract award notice on GETS for any secondary procurement that is $100,000 or greater, or
- reporting panel spend to New Zealand Government Procurement annually.
This reporting gathers data on closed syndicated contracts and agencies' internal panels.
Supplier diversity
This reporting covers the period 1 July 2025 – 30 June 2026.
It requires all mandated agencies to report on the number and value of contracts awarded to Māori businesses.
Procurement Capability Index
The Procurement Capability Index (PCI) is an annual survey that measures agencies' procurement capability. All mandated agencies must rate their capability on a range of specified areas – for example, governance, strategy, planning, sourcing and contract management.
