New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) is currently recruiting. We are looking for people with a wide range of backgrounds and CVs. You’ll be part of the team delivering the government’s procurement for the future strategy.
We have a vision for New Zealand’s government procurement to be fair, transparent, inclusive, and efficient. It will deliver more value and respond to changing government priorities. We are here to guide behavioural and system change.
While we live and breathe procurement, our branch is here to both lead and support those doing the mahi in the procurement system. This includes government agencies and the suppliers and providers they work with. We are less of a procurement shop than a shop filled with data, systems, policy, communications, contract and project management people who love procurement. And yes, we have some procurement specialists!
We are passionate about what the system is already delivering – outcomes that are wider than the delivery of a contract for goods and services. We love to see contracts that build in targets in to reduce emissions, support workers and businesses, or reduce waste or strengthen relationships with iwi. Our ambition is to keep delivering more and for even greater procurement delivery.
