​Ideally, formal meeting room designs should be flexible enough to be able to easily accommodate future equipment and changes in technology.

There are a range of recommended set-ups for formal meeting rooms.

Multi-purpose room

Examples of uses

  • Public gathering.
  • Emergency Management use.
  • Training.
  • Large meetings.

Features

  • Secure access if accessible from public zone.
  • A writeable whiteboard surface applied to at least one large wall.
  • Acoustic insulation to walls up to underside of slab.
  • Acoustic operable walls to be STC44.
  • Sensor lighting with manual override half and off.
  • Flush floor boxes with 2 power, 2 data, 1 AV each (if possible).
  • 4 x double wall power and 4 x double wall data outlets per room.
  • Separate air conditioning zone with after hours override on timer.
  • Doors to have full acoustic seals including drop down seals.
  • Roller sunscreen blinds to exterior windows.
  • Block-out roller blinds may be required where glare is an issue.
  • Privacy film from 600mm above floor level to 1800mm high.
  • Excess furniture store attached to room where possible.

  • 1 x large flatscreen television with built in freeview, and USB, HDMI and Component inputs. Located on separate wall from data projector screen.

Boardroom - approx 24 seats
