    Check if you're eligible

    Common capability contracts are open to the New Zealand public sector. This includes:

    • agencies within the state sector
    • local authorities, and
    • state funded schools.

    Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

    If your agency hasn't already joined any AoG contracts, you must sign and return an NDA before you can access confidential information about the contracts.

    Assess your business requirements against the contract

    Your agency should consider any existing contracts you have when you're assessing the suitability of this contract for your business needs. Make sure you honour any current contract arrangements you have, particularly with regards to the notice period and payment on outstanding orders.

    You should engage with the panel suppliers to ensure they understand your unique agency requirements. The contact details can be found on the supplier page - you will need to be logged in to see these.

    Read the Supplier Agreements

    Each supplier has signed an agreement with MBIE. A copy of each agreement can be found on the suppliers page.

    Complete the Joining Addendums

    To join the Office Furniture contract, you need to complete and sign a joining addendum with each supplier on the panel. This will allow you to purchase from any supplier on the panel at any time. You do not need to select a single supplier.

    Buying office furniture

    Consider the opportunity to realise greater value and benefits by aggregating your annual or pipeline of upcoming, anticipated demand for furniture and seek quotes from providers based on these values.

    1. The Government Procurement Rules apply, refer to your agency’s procurement policy and processes in the first instance, there will often be guidance on All-of-Government or syndicated agreements in your internal Procurement Policy document.
    2. If your purchase is under $100k, follow your agency procurement rules. You may be advised to sole source direct to one supplier or request 3 quotes.
    3. If your purchase is over $100k, a secondary procurement process has been agreed with the panellists (see clause 5.2 of the agreements).
    4. Goods or Services may then be ordered by following your agencies purchasing methodologies.
    5. It is a courtesy to advise a panel member if they have been unsuccessful with their quote.
