NZGP not moving forward with All-of-Government Commercial Cleaning and Associated Services Solution
At this time, we have decided not to move ahead with an All-of-Government (AoG) solution for Commercial Cleaning and Associated Services. The scope of this project included commercial cleaning services and related services such as textile, washroom, carpet and upholstery, and waste management.
We made this decision following stakeholder feedback and an assessment of the potential benefits of an AoG solution. At this point in time we think that the needs of government agencies are best met through either individual contracts or the syndicated contracts that are currently available. Many agencies currently utilise cleaning services of local suppliers who provide cleaning services to government agencies covering all regions of New Zealand.
While we are not proceeding with an AoG solution at this time, we are looking to develop guidelines for agencies to use when sourcing suppliers for cleaning and related services. This guidance will be available in the near future.
