Interim measure for construction consultancy services

You may be aware that the Marketplace online portal, operated by the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), is unavailable to users after the discovery of a security issue, but construction consultancy services suppliers and government agencies can still continue to engage in the absence of the Marketplace.

Disruption and finding new ways to work is very much the order of things at present and so New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) has developed an interim solution to lessen any impacts. It will be accessible to agencies using a RealMe login to a secure part of this website. We will send more information to agencies and suppliers once this solution is in place.

The construction consultancy services solution continues to operate on the agreed terms and new suppliers are still able to apply to join through marketplace.govt.nz.

In short:

  • We are still open for business
  • New suppliers can still come on board; and
  • Agencies and suppliers can still engage under the already agreed terms.

DIA, who operate the portal, is undertaking a review to ensure the integrity of the Marketplace. We are following this activity closely and we are clear in our requirements - the Marketplace will not be relaunched until we are fully satisfied that the site is robust and all data is secure.
