Thank you for APP submissions!

A fantastic effort from 90% of agencies who submitted their annual procurement plans (APPs) for the October collection. This early response rate compares favourably with previous APP rounds, showing agencies are effectively planning their future procurement opportunities and improving the early engagement and dialogue within their organisations.

For agencies yet to submit their APP, please get this to us as soon as possible by email.

The consolidated list of anticipated procurements in the next 12 months across government has been published on the New Zealand Government Procurement website.

This information provides suppliers with the timing of potential contracting opportunities across government, enabling them to –appropriately prepare their organisation to respond to relevant requests. Agencies can use APP to see which other agencies are doing similar procurement activities and identify opportunities to collaborate.

Quick facts:

  • Agencies are citing greater use of All-of-Government, Common Capability and Syndicated contracts
  • There are potentially over 1000 contract opportunities across government
  • Two thirds of the potential procurements are planned to be conducted in the next 6 months
  • Building and Facility Construction and Maintenance Services category has the greatest number of procurements planned in the next 12 months.
