MVD expires in April 2017

23 March 2017

The AoG Mobile Voice and Data (MVD) agreement will expire next on 23 April 2017. Beyond this date the agreement will not be managed by New Zealand Government Procurement.

The Telecommunications as a Service (TaaS) agreement signed in November 2015 replaced MVD as the primary mobility agreement for government agencies. The TaaS agreement is managed by DIA and provides relief against early termination charges for agencies with existing agreements.

Since TaaS was launched, numerous improvements and price reductions for mobility have been introduced. These improvements are automatically available to all subscribing agencies using these services. Further improvements are expected through-out the lifecycle of the TaaS agreement.

The TaaS Team is available to help agencies with the range of options available under TaaS and understand the benefits of transitioning to TaaS. Please contact the transition team.
