Changes to Advertising Services AoG Panel

3 August 2017

The Clemenger Group announced the merger of Touchcast Limited and Proximity Wellington Limited into Clemenger BBDO Limited, to trade as Clemenger BBDO Touchcast.

As of 1 July 2017, Touchcast and Proximity will no longer be panel providers, with Clemenger BBDO Limited continuing to provide advertising services to eligible agencies.

SSW Holdings Ltd, or Starcom New Zealand, have changed their trading name to Multi Market Services New Zealand Limited t/a Starcom, and remain on the panel.

The Directors of Chemistry Media Limited (Mediacom) and Ikon Communications (NZ) have centralised their AoG Advertising Services Agreements and novated the rights of Chemistry and Ikon under the Services Agreement to GroupM New Zealand Limited (GroupM).

The change is in corporate structure only and all operational staff will remain within Chemistry Media Ltd (Mediacom) and Ikon Communications (NZ) under GroupM.

Participating Agencies will still interact with GroupM via the individual brands (Ikon and Mediacom) but GroupM will hold the Services Agreement with MBIE.

GroupM have also confirmed that the lower of the rates across Chemistry Media Ltd (Mediacom) and Ikon Communications (NZ) brands will apply. This information will be updated on inSource for your reference as soon as possible.

The CoE has completed due diligence on GroupM and is satisfied that it will be able to meet its obligations under the supply agreement. There will be no adverse impact on Participating Agencies.

If you have questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
