AoG Electricity contract update

4 May 2017

The Utilities Centre of Expertise (CoE) will release a substantial tranche, Tranche 9, in July 2017 for all agencies with a current electricity contract expiring between October 2017 and March 2018.

The registration for Tranche 9 is now open and will close at the end of May 2017. Please email Utilities CoE at utilities.coe@mbie.govt.nz for further details on Tranche 9 participation. Once you receive the cost savings analysis from us, you can accept or decline the offer.

If your current contract has already expired or is expiring before October 2017, email Utilities CoE for details on how the CoE can help you. You can find more information on the AoG Electricity Contract on our website.

The CoE ran Tranche 7 (a cluster of agencies) in August 2016 with 98 agencies participating, gaining average savings of approximately 19% across all participating agencies. This tranche was the largest in terms of number of participating agencies and usage load for Utilities so far.

With the success of this tranche, the CoE released a small Schools tranche, Tranche 8, in April 2017 with 38 schools and 4 agencies participating. Registration for this tranche is now closed.
