Future contract opportunities

Annual procurement plans

Annual procurement plans (APPs) capture a yearly forecast of expected procurements in government agencies and seek to provide suppliers with advance notice of possible government contract opportunities. It is mandatory for some agencies to provide APPs while others are strongly encourage to. Refer to the Government Rules of Sourcing for guidance on who the Rules apply to and on APPs.

Consolidated list of anticipated NZ Government procurement

The consolidated list of anticipated NZ government procurement [246KB XLSX] shows all the future procurements that agencies expect to obtain over the next 12 months. This information comes from APPs that agencies must complete.

The report can be sorted by:

  • type of purchase
  • the region in which goods or services will be delivered
  • the agency seeking to make the purchase.

Please note that all forecast procurements are subject to revision or cancellation. The information contained in an APP is for planning purposes only. It does not represent a pre-solicitation or an invitation for bids. It is not a commitment by the government to purchase the described goods and services.
